All of the water colour paintings are on the subject of wild life. The signatures are hard to read and there isn’t any other provenance. The style is mainly loose watercolour painting with the use of vibrant colours to create an expressionistic atmosphere together with movement in some of the paintings. All of the paintings measure 8 X 10 inches. They are all unframed, but covered in a plastic wrapping for protection. Picture1. The subject shows two flamingoes meeting each other. It is characterized by a dynamic ‘splattered’ watercolour technique that focuses on capturing the energy and movement of the flamingoes. The style is minimalistic and the artist has used a loose watercolour style, characterized by soft edges and ink detailing, for the eyes and feet. This technique often involves layering washes of colour and letting the pigment create unique textures. There are also some splatters of colour around the robin. Picture 5. This item is signed in the right hand lower corner, but unable to decipher the artist’s name. It is an original watercolour painting of a pheasant. It features a vibrant, loose watercolour style with ink splatter details. It is a contemporary wildlife art print being sold unmounted . The imagery is realistic and the looseness and vibrant colours creates movement of the pheasant and brings it alive. Picture 6. This watercolour painting is of a pheasant in flight. The name of the artist is signed but the signature is difficult to decipher. The artist has based the painting on the style of artist Jen Buckley featuring vibrant, expressive splashes of colour and it is painted on very good quality watercolour paper. This painting has been sketched in thin pen for the outline and the eye. The loose method has been used to fill in the body and feathers, together with vibrant colours. The splatters around the pheasant creates the feeling of space and movement of the pheasant in flight. It is very effective to look at.
