In English ‘Birds of the Mascarene Islands’, a volcanic archipelago off the east coast of Madagascar. The print is of an original work by noted French zoologist Jean-Michel Vinson. Fashioned by a technique called chromolithography. The bird featured is the Cardinal or Red Fody (Foudia madagascariensis). Printed on high quality art paper, dated 1981. Mounted in Perspex glazed frame. Art measures 7½ x 10 inches. Frame is 12 x 15 inches.
